Guide to Tiny House Living
If you’ve been thinking about the possibility of living in a Tiny House but aren’t sure:
If it’s right for you
Where to start your research
If you can fit all your belongings in it
Where your utilities will come from
Where you will put it
If your family will fit
If you should build it or buy it pre-made
But you want to be able to own a home you LOVE sooner than you could with a traditional mortgage…
You need to think about Tiny House Living!
It’s easier than you think!
Wouldn’t it be amazing if you could have the information you need to decide if Tiny Living is right for you broken down into simple sections…
And someone to walk you through it who has not only built their own Tiny House, but lived in it for several years, and even added a baby to the mix in only 360 square feet of space?!
Now you can!
I’ve documented our family’s entire process over the past few years and now I’m sharing it with you!
I’m Zeena Fontanilla
The creator of The Before-You-Jump-In Guide to Tiny House Living!
Living in a Tiny House has allowed my family to own our own home and live life on our OWN terms! It’s given us so much freedom to focus on the things that really matter to us, like spending more time with our community and living more sustainably, and I know it can do the same for you!
Instead of getting a home mortgage that would take decades to pay off, we built our own home in just two years!
And you know what?
It hasn’t stopped us from doing the things we love or filling our home with friends…
When we made the choice to “downsize” our idea of what home ownership should look like, we actually gained more than we thought possible! We’ve been able to create the lifestyle we wanted without having to wait years or spending 100’s of thousands to do it.
"I won’t be able to fit all my stuff in such a small space"
Truth: Yes, you will! You will probably need to prioritize and downsize a bit, but that’s not a bad thing and it doesn’t have to be unbearable. Chances are there are many things you own that you haven’t seen or used in years (I know I did!). This is a great opportunity to declutter and to only bring things with you that bring you joy. Practicality and efficiency are key in a smaller space, but you will still be able to create beautiful spaces in your Tiny Home. So, YES, you can still shop at Target!

Q: Will this course work for me if I’m not 100% convinced on Tiny Living?
A: Yes! This course is designed for you if you want to learn a bit more about how Tiny Living works and if it is something that would help you create the life you want. I will walk you through all the decisions my husband and I had to make as we designed and built our own Tiny Home, and even tell you about the things that have worked well and the things that have not.
I can’t raise a family in a Tiny House, there’s not enough space
Truth: You ABSOLUTELY can! Babies actually don’t take up that much space, their stuff can though! When we decided to start our family, we had been living in our Tiny House for only a few months and it took some strategic planning but it’s worked out perfectly for us! Our son, Maverick, even has his own room. It’s allowed us to spend more time exploring our little island home of Maui and spend less time cleaning our home.
This is for YOU if:
You are curious about Tiny Houses
You are trying to decide between building your own or buying a pre-built Tiny Home
You want to lessen your impact and live more sustainably
You want to own your own home for a fraction of the cost of a traditional mortgage
I won’t have all the amenities I’m used to
Truth: You can have any amenity you want (For the most part)! The amazing thing about a Tiny Home is you can be a part of the design process if you want to and can plan your layout around the things that are most important to you. Our Tiny Home is completely off-grid, meaning we use solar for electricity and water catchment to collect water, and we have all your typical amenities: toilet, hot water, shower, electricity, Wifi, full kitchen, tv, etc. YOU get to decide what goes into your home!
Who this course is NOT for:
